A calm space to grow
Hi, I'm Hannah.
I've been a counsellor for ten years, and before that I spent eight years teaching in secondary schools, so I know how easily stress and self-doubt can build up when life is busy.
Counselling gives you time and space to make sense of what's going on, without judgement. My work is warm, down to earth and collaborative. You won't be analysed from a distance: we'll work out together what's keeping you stuck, and what would help you feel more like yourself again.

How I Can Help
I work with adults (18+) on all kinds of things, big and small. Here are some of the most common reasons people get in touch.
-
Anxiety & Overthinking
Racing thoughts, poor sleep, the what-ifs that won't switch off. We'll look at what's driving the worry and find practical ways to feel calmer and more in control.
-
Low Mood
When everything feels flat, heavy or pointless, it can be hard to know where to start. Counselling offers a steady space to understand it and reconnect with what matters to you.
-
Burnout & Work Stress
Running on empty, dreading Mondays, never quite switching off. Together we'll untangle the pressure and work out what needs to change so you can recover.
-
Relationships
Conflict, distance or the same old patterns repeating. We'll explore what's happening between you and the people who matter, and how you'd like things to be.
-
Self-Esteem
A harsh inner critic can colour everything. Drawing on Compassion Focused Therapy, we'll work on treating yourself with the kindness you'd show a friend.
-
Life Changes
New jobs, parenthood, moving or retirement can unsettle even the most grounded of us. Counselling gives you space to find your feet again.
-
Grief & Loss
Grief arrives in waves and changes shape over time. Whether your loss is recent or long ago, I offer gentle support to help you carry it.

If there's anything else you'd like to know, just ask on our free call.
Do you offer online or in-person sessions?
Both. In person in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, or online by video.
How much does it cost?
£60 for 50 minutes. A few £40 concession places are available.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies. Some people come for six sessions, others for longer. We'll review together regularly.
Is it confidential?
Yes. I follow the NCPS code of ethics. I discuss my work anonymously with my supervisor, and the only exception is a serious risk of harm, which I'll explain at our first session.
